Principia 2016 Pinot Noir
Winery : Principia
95 POINTS :JAMES HALLIDAY
Beautifully fragrant nose of violets, wild strawberry, and a touch of herbs. The palate is gorgeous showing a mix of red cherries, strawberries, light spice coming from the oak and finishing with a delicious savoriness. Silky smooth tannin and a prolonged finish A really lovely wine worth the investment.
Pronounced prin-kip-eea (which is evidently how Caesar would have said it with a hard 'k'), the name comes from the word 'beginnings' in Latin. It is also the name of Sir Isaac Newton's famous scientific work which incorporated his theory of gravitation and the laws of motion.
