Pressing Matters 2014 Pinot Noir
Winery : Pressing Matters
91 POINTS : JAMES HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION
Luscious plum, chocolate with a little hint of szechuan pepper smoke. Full bodied Pinot, seamless and textured mouthfeel, characteristic of the Pressing Matters, Coal Valley style.
Pressing Matter is based in Tasmania's Coal Valley, producing premium Pinot Noir and Riesling. It was only a matter of time before barrister and Burgundy lover Greg Melick would plant grapes and make wine. In 2002 he and fellow barrister Francis Douglas established pinot noir and riesling on a frost free, north-east facing site in the Coal Valley at Tea Tree under the expertise of Robert Drew (Drew Wines).
