2015 Gala Estate 'Estate Black' Pinot Noir: This is a brand new wine from this premium East Coast TASMANIA producer, responsible for the thrilling Constable Amos Pinot, which was a multi-trophy winner at 2016 Tasmanian Wine Show.
The 'Black' label is a super-luxe, full bodied pinot noir with a wonderful structural framework to match. Aromatic with intense bramble-berries, wet stone and rose florals. Slightly smoky hints too - all most appealing. Plenty of ripe fruit in the mouth but this is tempered with well-integrated, savoury notes from the oak, and eggshell-like tannins. It's rewarding drinking now, but keep for 24 months for optimum drinking.
