Drew 2016 Pinot Noir
Winery : Drew
Deep crimson/mulberry colour, wonderfully aromatic with brambleberries, dark cherry, hint of camphor and richer nuttiness. Like the aromas, the flavours are vivacious, and zip and bounce around the mouth, leaving you licking your lips for several minutes later. Added to that liveliness and savoury juiciness is an over-riding sweet-fruit softness and weight.
This is a classy and characterful pinot and is an absolute snitch at this price. Every cellar should have some.
Located at Tea Tree, Drew is one of Coal Valley’s many small, family-run vineyards making excellent wines from mature vines. Owner/winemaker Robbie Drew's expertise has been put to excellent use by other vineyards - he was the original viticulturist for Pressing Matters, and makes the wine for another of our great-value Coal Valley favourites, Third Child.
