Giant Steps 2018 Applejack Pinot Noir
Winery : Giant Steps
97 POINTS JAMES HALLIDAY
Significantly deeper colour than prior vintages, likewise depth of fruit; the bouquet and palate are driven by black and red cherry fruit of exceptional generosity but with an unusual touch of dark chocolate
Giant Steps' Applejack Vineyard was planted in the Upper Yarra in 2001 by Ray Guerin, viticulturist par excellence. The vineyard, which was purchased by Phil Sexton of Giant Steps, is located on a dramatic north-east facing slope.
