An impressive bright bouquet of strawberries and cherry combining so perfectly with the subtle spice. The palate is showing more of a savory streak with dark cherry leading the charge before the perfectly judged oak, tannin and that long lingering finish.
Spring Vale, from Cranbrook on Tasmania's East Coast is one of Tasmania's best-known pinots. The Lyne family whose generations have farmed Spring Vale since 1875, diversified from sheep farming to grape growing in the 1980s.
