Valli 2016 Bendigo Pinot Noir
Winery : Valli
94 POINTS BOB CAMPBELL
95 POINTS SAM KIM
Winemaker notes: Intense garnet hue with aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, mulberry, almond and vanilla. Richly concentrated on the palate with creamy fine tannins that build in the mouth and are lifted by enticing acidity. Lifted fresh berry flavours with a savory undertone and incredible vibrancy that marries beautifully with its prominent frame.
Grant Taylor the winemaker aims to be invisible. A tall order one could say, given his big personality, bags of enthusiasm and pioneering pinot work in Otago. What he seeks is not to be noticed in a winemaking sense, letting each individual site that makes up the Valli Pinot Noir quartet, speak with clarity and uniqueness.
