This is not the first time that this modestly-priced Central Otago Pinot has performed very well in the major wine shows in NZ. This is boutique producer Two Degrees' third 'Best Pinot' trophy since their first vintage 9 years ago.

Two Degrees is at the northern end of the Cromwell Basin, not far from Wanaka The wine is made by Sarah-Kate & Dan Dineen of Maude fame.

Winemaker notes: 'This ruby red wine has a nose full of dark cherries and blackberries with underlying earthy notes and subtle oak toast. The palate entices with black cherries, crushed spice and a hint of savoury followed by a mellow fruitiness giving way to fine silky tannins on the back palate and a lengthy finish.'
